No — hammocks are interior protection, not restraints. Only harnesses, crates, and carriers have been independently crash-tested by the Center for Pet Safety. A hammock keeps your dog stable in normal driving and stops them climbing into the front, but it won't prevent ejection in a collision. Use one alongside a crash-tested harness.
Not ours. Every AutoHQ cover is 100% side-airbag compatible — we build in velcro, breakaway stitching, or openings along the outboard side of the backrest so the airbag deploys freely. This is a real concern with generic universal covers, which often wrap the deployment seam solid.
Yes. Route the harness tether to the buckle underneath the cover. Restraining your dog also stops the sliding-and-bunching that causes most hammock complaints.

Meaningfully, if installed before the damage happens. Claw punctures in leather can't be spot-repaired — the panel gets replaced. Keeping factory upholstery in original condition is worth far more at trade-in than the cost of a cover.
