Ballistic is our most durable material and the one we recommend for work trucks above everything else. It's a canvas-like nylon weave that resists punctures, abrasion, and the constant wear of getting in and out, and it's waterproof-treated so spills bead up and roll off. With a ¼" memory-foam layer it also protects against permanent seat indentation. Expected lifespan is 10+ years.
Ballistic is waterproof-treated — mud, coffee, hydraulic fluid and wet work clothes bead up and roll off, then wipe clean. Neoprene is fully waterproof: made from genuine CR-grade wetsuit rubber, you can wipe it down or pull it off and hose it out. Leatherette is water-resistant, and its perforated inserts can be swapped for solid, fully-waterproof leatherette on request.

Yes — every AutoHQ cover is 100% side-airbag compatible. Along the outboard side of the backrest we build in velcro, breakaway stitching, or purpose-built openings so a seat-mounted side airbag deploys freely. This is a real concern with generic universal covers, which often wrap the deployment seam solid.

Ballistic has an expected lifespan of 10+ years and is built to take heavy daily use. Neoprene runs 8–10 years and Leatherette 8–10 years. All AutoHQ products carry a 1-year warranty against defects in workmanship and materials, and 30-day returns.
