Jeep Wrap and Insert Seat Covers

Wrap and insert seat covers put plush sheepskin or Luxury Fleece exactly where your body touches the seat, at a fraction of the cost of a full cover. All three styles are universal fit for low back bucket seats, sold as singles so you can cover just the driver's seat, install in 10–15 minutes with no tools, and are 100% side airbag compatible. Free shipping on orders over $199.99.

Wrap or Insert — Which One Should You Buy?

The difference is coverage. A wrap covers the front of the backrest and the entire seat bottom and wraps over the headrest; an insert is a strip down the center of the seat. More coverage means more protection; less coverage means a lower price and a faster install.

Style What It Covers Material Price
Universal Wrap Sheepskin Front of backrest, full seat bottom, built-in headrest cover (wear over or under the headrest) Genuine Merino sheepskin on the seating face, synthetic fleece acrylic around the seat bottom sides $139.99 each
Universal Insert Sheepskin Center strip down the backrest and seat bottom — roughly 13" wide by 56" long 100% genuine Merino sheepskin, cut from solid pelts $119.99 each
Universal Wrap Luxury Fleece Same coverage as the Wrap Sheepskin, including the built-in headrest cover Synthetic faux sheepskin (acrylic), 0.71" deep fleece — animal free $69.99 each

Why Drivers Choose Wrap and Insert Covers

  • Sheepskin comfort without the full price. Both sheepskin styles use grade-A Merino from Australia or New Zealand with fleece approximately 1" (25mm) deep.
  • Year-round temperature control. Sheepskin's hollow fibers breathe — cool in summer, warm in winter — and all three styles work with heated seats.
  • Real seat protection. Lined with ¼" foam padding and an anti-slip rubber backing that blocks indentations, punctures, UV fading, and dye transfer from blue jeans.
  • Secure on the seat. The wraps use 8 straps — 4 rugged 800 denier nylon straps with buckles and 4 elastic straps with metal hooks. The insert is held by the headrest posts plus elastic straps below.
  • A vegan option. Luxury Fleece is fully synthetic, hand-washable, and fade resistant even in prolonged sun.
  • Buy only what you need. Every cover is sold as a single — driver, passenger, or a pair.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a wrap and an insert?

A wrap covers the front of the backrest and the entire seat bottom and extends over the headrest. An insert is a center strip down the backrest and seat bottom, leaving the sides and back of the seat exposed. Wraps protect more of the seat; inserts cost less and install faster.

Are they safe with side airbags?

Yes. All AutoHQ covers are 100% seat-side airbag compatible. The wraps use breakaway stitching and straps that release on deployment; the insert leaves the airbag seams on the sides of the backrest completely uncovered.

Do I have to remove my headrest?

For the wraps, no — the built-in headrest cover goes over the headrest as shown in the photos. If you prefer to leave the headrest exposed, remove it and install underneath. The insert generally does require headrest removal; if your headrests aren't removable, we'll add an opening with Velcro between the posts.

How long does installation take?

About 10–15 minutes per cover, with no tools and no need to remove the seat or your existing upholstery. Installation does involve reaching under the seat and tucking the cover into tight crevices — inspect your seat first if that's difficult for you. Full installation instructions and videos are available.

How do I clean them?

Light brushing with a wire dog brush and vacuuming keeps the fleece fluffy; spot clean with mild soap and water. Sheepskin can be dry cleaned but must never go in a washer or dryer. Luxury Fleece is hand-washable with mild detergent — air dry only.

How long will they last?

Expect 6–8 years from the sheepskin styles and 5–7 years from Luxury Fleece when cared for properly. Every cover carries a 1 year warranty against defects and is returnable for 30 days from shipment.

Which colors are available?

The Wrap Sheepskin comes in Black, Charcoal, Gold, Sand, and Steel. The Insert Sheepskin adds Latte and Silver, plus eight made-to-order premium colors (+$20). Luxury Fleece comes in Graphite, Gunmetal, Obsidian, Sahara, and Vanilla. Browse them all under Seat Cover Materials & Colors — and note that we can't guarantee an exact match to your interior, though we're happy to give an opinion if you send a photo.

Can I match my other interior pieces?

Yes. Add headrest covers, steering wheel covers, seat belt covers, and console covers in the same material.
